ya that could set it off, but... if it were you would really feel it in the top end of the car... it would make the new engine feel about the same as your other one.... so the best thing to do is have the code read.... it will tell you for sure

really, first you need to change your name!! if you havent noticed, we are all ricers, and most of us have hondas and acuras that will put a real smack down on your subi or pontiac... now, with that out, you should go with the B16 swap, it is easy, reliable, and still a great platform to work...

this may sound really stupi but did you check the gas cap?... no really, i forgot to put it on one time and the check engine light came on!!! i was on a 700 mile road trip... so i took it to a shop and they read it, it was a cheap $7 fix.... check it out..^_^

suspention should work fine... the only place you may run into problems is with the shocks... i know the springs on the civic and del are the same, but i belive the shocks are a little diferent... but if you planon swapping anyways, you should spend the money on new shocks, esecially if you want...

i have a 2000 civic hatch which is comparable to the del sol in weight... i have been doing alot of research into the b16 b18 swap... and i totaly would go for the b18 type R.... the swap is a little harder than a gsr but much nicer and much stronger if done right... but the big question is...
