UPDATE:
It is running. No problems except a small drop in rpm's when letting it drop to neutral, it hits about 280 rpm's then climbs back to about 900 and stays steady. It's only on a partial tune right now till i break it in but drove it around town.
Pulls really hard (only using about 50%...
Update: threw the old tune chip in the ecu and codes are gone but it wont start now, thinking thats cause the old tune is for 310cc injectors and 70 psi of fuel pressure. Going to get a chip from a new tuner that I hear is the best around here this week so I can drive it to him for a full tune...
everything is together. Don't have pic's yet because it is dark and my fluorescents in my garage are acting up cause its cold as hell. Good news and bad news, started it up, and it ran really well at idle at least. Will not run under its own power. Don't have any idea what thats all about. It...
They never saw a valve guide split like that so they thought it was cool, the guides were obviously bad (tolerance was off on 12 of the 15 and one was split in half), different shop did my head this time. I don't like to point blame, but when things go wrong I go to different people, the old...
Update Found the Problem:
One of the valve guides was dead, split in two, machine shop asked to keep it so no picture of that sorry. All the valve guides were loose, clearance between the valves and the guides were not in tolerance (there for valves weren't seating correctly, which is why I was...
if there is no pressure in the water lines it has to be either the thermostat (which you have changed, did you put it in correctly) or water pump. I guess some engine importers shove socks, towels, rags and paper in the open places, you did pull those out right ?
Ok I built a decent NA motor a few weeks back and it was blew 2 quarts on my way home about 30 miles out the exhaust.

Well I'm still in the process of cleaning...
thats just the camera casting shadows and screwing with it, its light green in color with only a small amount on top from taking the head off. I drained the radiator as well and it isn't oily.
The oil in the block is now drained too and it seems just burnt, (blackish/gray), not the consistency...
Pics of the aftermath:
on the last picture if you look at the area in between the exhaust valves that little clear spot is present at each combustion chamber in the exact same spot, there doesn't seem to be any marks on the pistons is this from the leak down where the air was...
Leak down showed all my exhaust ports are leaking out, head gasket seemed fine, so do the rings (no play in the pistons at all and no hissing coming from the oil cap), still a bit of hone left the cylinder walls. Got the head off an hour ago and going to take it to the machine shop tomorrow. I...
It's a gray smoke, but anything past 40% throttle it would turn black and then on release of the throttle it would turn back white. There's a oil fuel mix all through my exhaust now, took the header off last night, and its soaked with black oil and smells very much like fuel. I also have my...
Alright somethings wrong with it, taking it apart right now. When I actually picked up the car it drove like shit, and about halfway home the car started smoking (not a little smoke but movie smokescreen style smoke.) It ended up burning 2 quarts of oil just getting it the 25 miles home, stopped...
Update: Ok bad day. Dyno was today and I have a leaky cam seal which I will get replaced tomorrow if I can. The power was lower than expected, although I was told the dyno dynamic dyno's give low numbers to begin with.
Here's a pic of the car on the dyno
Final numbers with my stuff was 153.6...
You will never find a peer review on the effects of shoving a computer fan in your Honda intake.
See; Fluid Dynamics. I bet Wikki has a page on it I'm just too lazy to link it.
But even better than a peer review, take your idea and test it. Take a fan and stick it in to a tube then take that...
omg a gas powered leaf blower stuck at full throttle and strapped to the throttle body. i say try this... and take lots of pictures. Of course you'd have to pop the hood and pull the cord every time you start your car but ... actually screw pics I want video's.
WAIT A SEC... thats already been...
unorthodox makes good products but with any full metal crank pulley you may decrease the life of your main bearings. The loss of the harmonic balancer (rubber around the crank pulley) causes vibration on the crank. I would consider having a machine shop cut the non needed pulleys off the stock...
I think i used the wrong wording:
eg6sir the head was gasket matched and so was the intake manifold in fact the manifold needed quite a bit of opening up as it didn't come any where close to matching (there were also a lot of casting in the runners which were polished out).
Update: I gave up on...
