Will the VAFC work with a non VTEC.(D17A1) I would think it would but obviously I wouldn't be able to tune VTEC, but would the other functions still work for basic tuning?

Not worried about V-tech having a hard time finding forged internals. I have only found pistons. They can't make one and not the other. Everything goes hand in hand.

Did you have it before it was rebuilt or did you just buy it? Oil and antifreez is problably a bad gasket or inproperly installed on the head or intake. The low fuel pressure could be a variety of problems. A plugged fuel filter, or a bad fuel pump would be the first thing to check.
