I hope you got it going dude,... but check these few things out ,... You are into the harness and it sounds like a lotta fun ,.... make sure that the ground points where the harness is supposed to ground to body have good connections,... most of the sensors have braided ground around the lead...

No, cant see any benefit from putting a b16 manifold on a b18,...

Of course check the things previously mentioned, but also check the charge on your battery....after repeated attempts it might be tired. More importantly, and it relates to rotor turning,......timing belt. You might have lost a section of teeth.
