Ok, that sounds like it makes sense. Maybe I'll give that a try. I've heard the term before but no experience with it.... What exactly is valve lash? Is that when the valve springs are worn and they just flop around instead of springing back properly?

Well, I pulled off the valve cover on #2 tonight. I didn't see anything in there that looked abnormal. Then again, I've already said I'm no mechanic by any means. I pulled the spark plugs too and wow... LOTS of oil in those tubes, it nearly covered my socket! After the first one came out like...

This is probably stupid and maybe I am an idiot but how in the hell can I get the oil pan off of my 92 LX AT? All the bolts are out and the pan is loose. The clutch cover seems to be blocking the pan from releasing. I have taken the bolts out of the clutch cover but I can't seem to get it...
