to add a performance chip on a p14 ecu would i replace an existing chip with the performance chip or is there an empty space for it? i'd like to know before i get into it.

i have a mugen p14 performance chip. to install it do i have to replace an existing chip or is there an empty space where i can install it? i dont have my ecu cover opened yet so i haven't even looked at it. let me know please
