1991 EX Sedan not charging.

I came across a 1991 ex sedan that is for sale and the problem is the battery is not charging. I figgured I could test the wire that activated the alternator and make sure that the wire that runs to the battery is good and possibly drive the car home with less than an hours work. I also thought the car might have a bad ground and the alternator is brand new.

Can any one think of another reason why the car would not be charging? oh buy the way this car is a whopping 750 obo so its probably going to be a $500.00 car.

could have a blown 60 amp fuse in the main fuse box - the one on the far left closest to the battery

so it would still run with out that fuse? cool i will check it out.
