2 problems. civic dx

    ok here are my problems.

    right now my fuel pump isnt priming and i only hear a click when i turn my key to start. this didnt start until just now and it was random.... but before that....


    i had a high idle problem 1450rpms and my CEL kept flashing while the car was running, it was a misfire on cyl1 and cyl2. i tried swapping plugs, wires, but no avail.

    wtf is going on?

    check if your getting power to the pump first..
    and a misfire sounds like you need a new dizzy

    hrmm.. Flashing CEL while running? Your ecu may have taken a shit..

    i have a y8 ecu and a y7 ecu i swapped them they both seem to work.

    i believe a flashing cel means a severe misfire?

    can i use a 99-00 dizzy on my 96-98 motor? because i know the pins are different well they look different

    i have them both

    yea you can, the only diff is plugs, or if you have vtec i beleive. but as for misfiring, you should check your injectors, and your cel should not be flashing,. do both ecu's do the same thing? what codes do you have. and dizzy's on honda's are cheap so you know, its always good to have a backup. or coil's

    its a d16y7

    the injectors i looked at the wiring and also i have backups so i dont think its them.

    how do i tell if im getting power to the pump?

    what do you mean you looked at the wiring??
    and you should hear it prime for 2 sec. when the key is on the on position
    does your car start?

    i looked at the wiring on the injector because i had to lengthen one, it was a lil loose but its fine now.

    i dont hear my pump prime anymore.

    and no, my car does not start after my pump stopped priming it started yesterday tho when i had the high idle and cel flashing

    hmm your wires can be fine onyour injector and your injector will still have problems .. go to a junkyard and put them sh its into your pocket and hook them up, but as for your fuel pump , i believe there is a relay switch, but idk where that is, check all your fuses? and under your hood, maybe your pump just went out too though, look on ebay, there like 30 bucks, or just get a whole new sending unit, there easy to replace,

    i have like 3 sets of injectors

    i dont wanna start buying parts if i dont kno what the problem is tho. i already bought a 70$ main relay

    so put it in?? and swap out the injectors if you ahve time to kill, and check your fuses, you got obd1?

    thought you said you bought it? and your pump might just be shot, but look for all your fuses idk how to test it or anythign sorry., what do you plan on doin with this car?/

    what no why ?/ lol show me some pics of your car. can i suggest gettin a bigger motor and converting to obd1 , it'd be nice.
