:werd: Especially with a D series, getting as much acceleration as possible would be the best thing to do. I was going to do the same with my car as well.

:unsure: ...2200lb car fully loaded..... with 347hp on the ground..... and you are worried about his gearing choice? :lol: :lol: :lol:

Ill bet that car is capable of mid 10s..... at probably 130 ish.....

:lol: :lol:.....gearing....... :lol: :lol:

....that could be done for cheaper on a b-series.

just because you're original, doesn't mean you're smart.
[post=541367]Quoted post[/post]

its probably around the same, give or take a 1000 bucks. not having to buy a new motor will save you some cash. plus youd have to build a b series anyways, you arent going to get 345whp on a stock block. Plus parts will cost about the same anyways.

edit: love his choice of brakes tho :lol:
[post=541448]Quoted post[/post]

a completely stock GSR will make that much power and at a lower boost level. B series would have been cheaper and less work but to each his own.

stock block B series are doing 600WHP.

maybe he meant stock bottom , like a stock crank ( ive seen that before, a b18 w/ 500 ish whp on a stock crank) but no, not on a unsleeved stock block. matter fact, i haven't seen more than like 3 600 whp b series hondas, and they weren't street legal.

"a completely stock GSR will make that much power and at a lower boost level."
a stock gsr has like what, 180 at the crank which is like 140ish to the wheels? this civic makes 347 to the wheels. thats close to 2 1/2 times the power of a gsr. a low boost turbo kit is not gonna make any b series kick out almost 2 1/2 times more power than stock. come on now, you know thats not true. its fast, thats all that matters, d series or not, fast is fast. i happen to like d series motors.
it takes 4-5 hundred horses to pull 10s in a hatch, 350ish im sure pulls in at mid to low 11's depending on driver and gearing.

couple of examples. sc61 @ 10lbs stock gsr 320. so i would think 12 psi would be damn close.

cft is a good example of a "street car" 750-800 whp

also just seen a 9 sec street legal crx at etown so im thinking damn close to 800.
