I was on another website and some guys where asking about swapin' a 5th gen Vtec head(F22B) on a 4th gen engine(F22A.) Has anyone heard of this or done it and if so what do you need and whats the power ratings?
man,i am thinking of doing same thing,why is it not feasible?i heard there is a difference in cooling ports on the block and head.what makes it so hard?i really would rather not swap engines.
There MAY be differences in the coolant passages. I KNOW you'll have to run an external oil line like you do with an ls/vtec.
It's feasible, but not practical. Why would you want to spend a thousand dollars or more to get a worthless single-cam VTEC head on your bottom end? The money is better spent elsewhere.
