the motor in the car now is having some problems so i was looking at getting a carbed d15b. just looking for a daily driver. I heard that a the transmission mount for the integra would have to be used but the others would work. also what axles and shift linkage or will what i have work. thanks

i thought that the d15b's were all fuel injected between the duel port injection and the multi port injection?

in order to use the JDM D15B, you would have to use the 88-91 L3 transmission and fabricate all new mounts for the engine (driver's side mount is completely different) and transmission - the D15B engine will not bolt to the 85 transmission - you would also have a lot of wiring problems

What kind of 'problems' are you having with the 'stock' setup on your current car?

Carb base leaking air? You might do better($$) by doing a webber swap on the dx engine.

well yeah the carb was kind of gummed up i think but recently my mom drove it and somehow got a leak in the radiator. the motor got hot enough that it snapped the head bolts for the exhaust. i got it all fixed but it runs funny and im not sure if i trust it.

So, after a two (yes, 2) second search on Google, you would have found your info. On top of that, everybody on those other sites have the same consenus for your car.

You will have to get rid of the carb, convert it to obd1 and run a p28. You won't be the first to do the swap, but thats what you need to do.

    Next time, read my sig.

Jilicrx.. Would those carbs be Kehins (?) like the older ones?

That made me laugh.. I just spent 2hrs gettting pics off my old floppys and saw my old RS-setup ones from my 1200..

I don't think that overheating would break headbolts.. Check the cat. The older carbed engines were electronically controlled and could've clogged it.
Put some good NGK plugs in it. (cheap) Make sure your wires are on right!!
check/replace the cap/rotor (cheap) Is there "red dust" all over inside?
check the vacume advance on the dizzy.. Holding vacume?
    check timing. valve and ignition

Who told you/her that 'bolts were broken'??
PM me if you need exhuast studs.
You could always pop a header on it..

i saw that the studs were broken when we got the car home. I had enough to replace all but one of them and i changed out the plugs and it running a lot better. im going to try to work on the carb this weekend to see if that helps
