90 crx si w/ b16a axle wont release

i have a 1990 crx si with a b16a. the driver side axle wont release from the half shaft. ive been trying for an hour and still wont release

how you been trien to release it

with two flat heads on both sides. also been tryin to shake its out of there and its not budging.

keeeeep trying. mine was pretty hard to get out too. I used 2 very long pry-bars

did u take off the half shaft and do it or you did it from underneath?

I took the axles apart 1 piece at a time from under the car. This was last when I did my clutch swap.

mine is exceptionally difficult as well.. if you have access to a impact hammer and compressor u can do what i did and just give the axle a quick shot with the air hammer.. popped right out

tried the air hammer, pry bars, all kinds of wedges and forks. what i ended up doing was taking apart the new axle and using the part of the axle stuck on the halfshaft and used a big zip tie to hold the boot secure
