My friend is really stuck on the LSD of the TypeR. It looks like he is going to lean that way.

theres tons better diff's out there...
and can be added to any tranny...

or hell, even put the itr tranny on any other b-series block

Can you turn any b-series tranny into a LSD tranny? Especially the LS tranny?

I know there's aftermarket LSDs from Quaiffe out there for the Si and GSR tranny, I would guess you could fit one onto the LS tranny.

I'll stick with the TypeR. The difference in cost in the swaps are 1200 and for 1200 won't get you the LSD tranny, a PnP, the same pistons. I believe a TypeR base is better

I just finished my swap. I have JDM ITR with ITR tranny with 4.795 final drive. Gearing is super short and it just explodes at 5800rpms...I got a hondata, but have not tuned it.

I managed to find lots of good finds...

Here is the list of what I have:

JDM ITR shortblock
USDM PR3-3 head (prepped as an ITR head) w/ CTR cams and S&R adj cam gears
68mm Holley TB
K&N Typhoon SRI
AEM fuel rail and FPR
96 Prelude Injectors (think there 345cc)
JDM Honda 4-1 header
Magnacore racing cat
Apexi World Sport exhaust
Hondata S100

Spent close to 5500 on all items, some new, some new, just price shopped...

Will dyno next week...But I really enjoy what an all motor can do...
I defintely recommend going B18C5 route...
