another b16 running rough thread

obd-1 b16A block, pr-3 head, 2s1 tranny, p-30 ecu , I/H/E

warms up slow, blows nasty black watery shit out the exhaust. after sitting at idle it smokes when you gas it, valve guides maybe.

this car runs smooth vtec kicks in but it's slower than the del sol s i used to have. when I got the car it was running a p-28, and had d16 plugs??? I have corrected these problems

Are you getting a CEL? Have you tried to see if your ECU storing any errors?

Things that make your car run crappy:

- Bad gas
- Poor spark
- Vacuum hoses not correctly connected or broken (leaking)
- Timing

What did you to the d16 plugs and the p28?

no cel, 93 octane, new 10 dollar per/ ngk's, honda factory wires,new cap& rotor

the plugs are toast the ecu will be part of a crvtec project.

you need to be using a obd0 ecu with that head.

No he has a obd1 wiring he should be using an OBD1 ecu. If the head is obd0 need needs to get the following in obd1: distributor and injectors.

so obd1 injectors and an obd1 dizzy would basicly convert the pr-3 to obd1. correct? would this fix the emissions/ runs like ass problem?

...or are my bad valve guides causing the lack of go?
