I've decided to rebuild my hydraulic B16 transmission myself. People around here want far too much money for a soft rebuild to be done, so I am going to do it myself. Synchrotech Carbon Coated Synchro sets sell for $200 on eBay, compared to $300 for an OEM set from Majestic. I'll be going with the Synchrotech set.
I have one question, though. Does anyone know which axle seals I should be using with my transmission? I have a B16 transmission LS axles, and a B16 intermediate shaft. I believe this means I should need one B16 seal, and one LS seal. The side on the intermediate shaft seems to be leaking, so I'm assuming that I have the wrong one in there. Any advice?
