B16a in an 89

ok first of all im new here...
My question is if i am going to put a B16A in my 89 do i need to do the dpfi-mpfi ffirst or will it not be neccasary because i am going to get an ECU and wiring and everything?

Any help will be appreciated

your car is dual point then your gonna have to get it wired over to multi first. I had to go through the same thing.
