I have a problem, the CEL just came on in my EK. I have a B16A swap, I bought the car like this.
I have a p28 chipped (some awful chip by the way), I recently bought the car. The chassis is an OBDII but the ECU is an OBDI, how can I check the CEL?
I'll have access to a scanner tomorrow, but I've tried before and I couldn't get a connection to the ECU.
I've done a lot of searching and read about shorting the service connector except I can't find it. The heater core on the car has been replaced and I'm thinking that maybe the service connector got tucked over the heater core making it in-accessible.
Any thoughts or ideas would be great.
P.S. Althought the ECU is chipped, it does not have the pins for a logging device soldered, I checked.
