Ok well I just bought an 89 ef sedan with a b16 OBD0. It ran fine for about 5 days then as I was driving down the road it just shut off. First I thought it was the main relay, went and got a new one, put it in but did the same old crank over, but no start. Anyways long story short, my rotor melted and I guess twisted, which caused my car not to start. I got a new rotor, the car cranked up. Now when ever I put the key into the on position I hear the main relay click over and over again until I start the car. Once the car is started it runs fine until I get into it, then at 5000 rpms (VTEC engagement) the car acts like its hitting the rev limiter. question 1- Why did my rotor melt? question 2- What is causing my engine not to be able to rev above 5k? Thanks.
