I thought he was saying he has a b16 and wants to drop it in this car.. If it were me, I'd be determined to get that b series in there eigther way, and while you have the other motor out, fuckit.. its right there, try n get it to work to hold you over till you get a gsr trani.. And I wass saying about the CRX, Its d serier, and I'm puttin my B series in there.. My LS Trani is just that, an LS Trani, and since that motors gonna be N/A a GSR Trani for the shorter gears hopefully dual syncro's and definatly LSD Would be what I'd want ASAP, but in the mean time I'd want to get the damn car on the road wouldnt you?? I mean shit I have 2 perfect builds planned out, a book full of notes specs port job angles, the works I did my research.. But I wouldnt want to even start to explain it to fucktard like yourself, only to get ridiculed because I forgot Capitalize at the begining of each sentence cause you cant find anything else to bitch about..

I mean shit I have 2 perfect builds planned out, a book full of notes specs port job angles, the works I did my research.

If you truly did do a shit ton of research, then you should know all about which engines and transmissions will bolt up to each other, and you'd also know that half-assing a swap or engine build just to "get it on the road" is retarded and will just lead to problems later on down the line...

LOL Mine's on her way over to do the same.. Alright since you seem like your interested in what I have to say now.. I'll lay down my plans for ya.. I have a 91 CR-X Si Coming down from kentucky (I'm in MS) Sometime this month.. I had a 91 TEG 5spd LS Ran like a champ, but A Suburban ran over the front and twisted the whole body all up.. so I pulled the OBD-0 ecu, whole shift assembly engine trani, all the interior.. the new blower box I built under the dash.. The dash with the A/C Control that I re-soldered all the cold solder's and broke solders on..

Picked up a 92 OBD-1 LS auto, with a fried head, no big deal.. The last build I did was a saturn (I know I know) I wanted to do something different.. and it was HAAARD And expensive to get custom shit for it.. anyways cops seized it after 4 years of Patience into it just ready for paint.. Gone I got pics of the progress.. shit you not about 30 grand went into that car.. 10 of that was fixing the (Never let your friends borrow your car) shit (Front cap TWICE a phool..) That was an automatic, 1st thing the trani went out when I got it. so I rebuild it with kevlar racing clutches and a shift kit.. ran good till i finished the motor i built and it fried the trani again.. so Switching that to a standard was eaaaxsssyyy bolt ons.. just switched it on out.. but this TEG had different sized motormounts frame side compared to the 5spd... theres all kinda other bullshit under the dash where you'd run the clutch cable.. the floorboard (Shifter box hole) is just that a box hole on an auto.. and it'd involve cutting and welding.. too much shit.. the car has 215kmiles on it..
So I said fuckit, I'll throw this good head on there cause thats all thats wrong with it.. (I thought) I never just do that, but I already made up my mind to start building the b18a in the garage for a N/A motor.. this car is a point A to point B for a month or two car.. That being said, i have 3 people ready to buy my TEG for $1500, the guys giving me the CR-X for $650 what a steal! And he's throwing in a b16a head and full obd-1 setup.. .. perfect, ebay (automotive pro) has Civic type R pistons,wrist pins, race bearings, and a FULL Gasket set matched to whatever Frank your building.. for less than $300.. buyin nephews 17" motegi's for $200 get the water and oil pumps.. (Timing belt included on that site) there she is.. a decent little N/A Motor while I save and take atleast 2 years building my big boost motor.. I'll explain that one next post cause this is getting long.. lol
 
Well, this d16 with 280,000 miles has a cracked block, so I gotta do something. What is the easiest way to swap just the engine and have something with a little more kick ? . . . . or I can just go back to another d16 motor if there is nothing that will go in easily.
 
ok, Now I intend to get a GSR Trani on there ASAP, but beings how its gonna be a good few months before I can afford one, and it only takes me a solid day to swap a Trani out.. I'll run the LS for now, THEN once the LS is back on the floor.. and the CR-X is cable clutch anyways.. rebuild it with a quaife LSD diff. new syncro's.. 6 puck race clutch and call it a day on that trani for the big boost motor..

Eagle Sleeved block & Girdle w/ (Staying 1.8 bore, I figure on the GSR bore/Stroke configuration I can hit 11k RMP alot safer that way) ITR Pumps, pan,ect on bottom end, Pauter 1000hp GSR Rods, T1 Catchcan kit, Weisco 8.5:1 forged pistons, and a Lightened 0-balanced knife edged crank (havent made up my mind wich exact one to go with on that yet..) ARP Top to bottom.

-Head-
909 bare b16b head (claim to have superior flow and strength over stock material and design) Also enlarge the ports alittle more than they already are supisidly, And check this port job I have planned.. god know how much its gonna cost.. (38 to 45) -45(seat) -58 - (65-70) blending last 2 angles (Top cut angles) so they're not seperated or concentric into the combustion chamber of Polished bowl. That should put a stop to any seperation in the mixture, and definatly give off a good venturi effect With the ferrea valve's

Ferrea Valve's, dual Springs, retainers and Rockers.. I'd like to run the Skunk2 pro cams but I should probally match the valve train and cams.. the ferrea cam pretty much does away with the whole vtec kicking in, and stays wide open all the time.. Skunk2 adjustable cam gears. Edlebrock VictorX intake w/ a bigass throttlebody.

-Turbo-
Precission 850hp Intercooler, Garrett t3/t67 (GT37r HO) with a 700hp max flow, Matching manifold, TiAL Wastegates and blowoff. 3inch ducting heatwrapped along with manifold. straight shot 2.75" on out to the back with no restrictions.

-Ls Trani for the gearing being its turbo, Rebuilt like I told ya I was going to do.

-Hondata s300, coilovers, crossmembers and strub bars, Any other strengthening I can find for the CRX and drop it on in there.. find a civic (94+) for the rear hubs, and throw some 11" Discs on there "Drilled and slotted, who cares if it eats the pads, it stops and cools alot better thats what matters), brembo or wilwood calipers.

Take it on probally to florida cause theres no Dyno's round here.. That'd be a good breakin anyways.. Shoot for a 650hp pull and tune.. may even throw a 75shot ontop of the equation not that I'd ever need it.. I love a boost setup cause you can dial in how much power you want and make that motor last the long haul! Keep it dialed down to 15psi (W/ the 8.5:1 c/r setup.. If it were 9.0:1 I'm go 10psi daily driver) but at the track crank it on up to bout 28-30.. could definatly get 35 outa the turbo, but I want it to last, so build it to handle 750, dont push it over 600..

Any tweaks you'd make to that?? Or sound as good to you as it does to me..?? theres only 1 or 2 things I', not 100% on.. (Ferrea cams or skunk2 pro cams, and exactly wich GSR Spec Crank I'll run) I was thinking about doing away with the whole oilpump in the block all together and run an External electric High volume Oil pump with 2 filters, anlong with a Walbro Fuel pump "Fuel cell in back"
Ofcourse the Pod gauges and type R Cluster, Harness ready race seats are a dime a dozen.. No point in striping the interior..

I never claimed to know everything, I'm no master mechanic.. but give me something to build and i'm gonna build it.. only thing I ever look in a book for and always do, is torque specs and sequencing.. ofcourse valve clearences etc to.. all lego's to me.. so many people just dont have that common sense that it takes to do what we do.. Always seeing cops hittin blues and paddin down/checking people out that are just trying to walk where they need to be. happened to me to.. shit I got pulled over leaving my house the other day, 7 cops came and searched my car no lie!! 6 squad cars and an undercover black f-150.. tax dollars at work.. he pulled me over for no seatbelt.. but it was on, and he saw that when he walked up to the car.. still help me for a hour calling backup so he could search.. nothing to find, no tickets atall he coulda gave me.. stupid shit..

Dude that is THE Car to have for the LS/Vtec or a GSR b18c1 engine swap from one of the online JDM Salvage motors.. everything you need just drop it in, get the right mounts and axles, run the right ecu (b16a = p28, b18c1 = p72 ecu).. bam.. I'm gettin that 91crx but really the 95 civic hatch is right there neck and neck with it weight wise.. plus its newer, updated brakes on the 95.. awesome car man.. Excelent ls.v platform!! LS/Vtec would be more cost effective.

theres the sub harness, 92-95 civic dx to b16a $65 easy fix.. theres all your electrical.. get the p28 Ecu keep it matched up and it'll run like a champ! b18a or b block just have it honed, new rings bearings full gasket set.. get the rods and crank mic'd and balanced together with the pistons.. hell run some b16a pistons it'll up the c/r to where you'd want it to be.. Lots of power!
Highly recomend LS/VTEC in that 95 Civic!!! I'd love to do that build!
