B18 With D16 Tranny?

I don't know if anyone has asked this question before. bue i can't find it if they did.
anyways, i was wondering if an ls motor would work with a d16y8 tranny. i really don't know if that is such a good idea in the first place. the reason i'm asking is the only person i know that is local says he can only find b18b's (ls motors?) with automatic trans. so that just didn't work for me. well, if that isn't the best way to go, can you guys help me with a site that sells b18b's with tranny and ecu that can be trusted?
p.s. b18b's aren't ls motors let know. i'm intrested in the ls motor by the way

B18B's are ls motors.

No, your D16 tranny will not work with any B series engine.
