i swaped a 93 ls engine into a 90 crx dx converted to 5 speed. it ran fine for a few days and now when im in the freeway and i go over 4k rpm the engine sounds like it bogs and i floor it when it does it and you hear it rev up slightly and it will not speed up it will slow down kind of like when you downshift but without the high reving. when i let it go under 3500rpm then it will be back to normal unless i go back over 4k rpm but it will be fine if i floor it or change speed constantly. has this happened to anyone any help will be appreciated thanks.

i had this exact problem with my crx si and i had to get a ecu, but mine has a D16z6. it runs fine now.
