im thinking in swapping a b18b1 on my ej 7 is that a good investment

maybe
maybe not
thats a very generic question and it doesnt have a direct answer
depends what you are looking for
what do you want out of it
what are your short and long term goals for it
what is your budget
what do you plan to use it for

also depends on how well the swap is done. a hacked-to-shit swap will probably not be worth your time and have reliability issues. a well done swap will not.

im planning on putting p30 pistons better breathing bild the head and turbo it maybe 6lbs of boost

id recommend a b18b1 swap and just turbo the stock engine. once you open up the bottom end, you sacrifice the reliability that makes hondas so popular.

yeah its just a suggestion, theres many routes you can go. in fact, the stock d-series can be rebuilt and make some decent power if you know what youre doing. but then again, once you rebuild it, reliability comes into question.

Bolt on turbos on b18b's are nice... factory low compression and the best displacement since they have the longer stroke crank

lower compression isnt always the best option for boost; in fact, it can actually make the car miserable to drive out of boost. lower compression = less power.

this is a stupid idea

build for one or the other
going one way then changing direction is a waste of time and money
