I have installed a B18C OBD1 GSR Manual Transmission motor in my 2000 Honda Civic and ther is a problem that I cant seem to resolve. The axles connection point at the engine are lower as compared to the axles connection point at the wheels. However, the gear rods are perfectly straight. I have used the original B18C mounts and shift linkage that came with the engine...
The car drives fine when driven in a straight line, but on turns as you press the throttle, it starts to loose grip and start sliding. Also, when you shift gears and release the clutch there is a screeching sound from below the car, not sure if its the axles or something else.
If I raise the engine to straighten the exles, then the gear rods point slightly upwards and are out of place. Also, if the engine is raised, then it touches the hood...
I have tried various things, but nothing seems to work. Please help me resolve this strange issue as it is a growing problem....
