next year i was thinking about putting a b20b block in my car.. think i may transfer all my gsr parts to it because all i want is the bore. i hear the sleeves in this are weak..
but with my gsr internals and 12:1 comp pistons i can hit a more realistic power number. this wont happen till after the head is ported and all that is done but curious...

    gsr internals wont fit.

the sleeves are week but you'll never hit there breaking point all motor the only thing you gotta worry about is the rod bolts themselves there the breaking point. so your gonna need arp's

if i were you i would just take the botom end and get it balanced at a machine shop for reliability the b20 was neve made to rev to 8500. so i would just get the stock botom end balanced and put your stock head on there and will make for a pretty quick little motor. (200hp range)

the ls crank is the same as the b20 crank... u think ls internals would fit?
i know those are a bit stronger and it will only rev to about 8500rpms

dude do some research, a b20 is a ls block with bigger bore/pistons

gsr internals will fit, except for the pistons which are 3mm too small

throwing your gsr head on there without any piston upgrades would net you some where around 160hp

don't rev to 8500 rpms on ls internals, the rod stroke ratio isn't good for doing that, if you really think that you can then replace the rod bolts with ones from arp, and throw a block girdle on there to help with the vibrations from the high reving

i know all that. i was clarifying that my gsr internals would fit. as in crank and rods. i would then throw some high comp pistons in it. only thing i was verifying is that it would fit. did the research and its still a b series. but what i need to know is how much those stock sleeves can stand? i mean i can rebuild mine again and sleeve it for around a grand or just transfer parts over. i can get that block for around 100 bucks bare and a lil extra for some pistons. the head will already be ported cams and valvetrain upgraded. i would have a block guard put on... this may make a pretty good setup..

DOOD... why dont you search instead of making stupid threads.

    You make no sense...

Why dont you just keep your gsr motor and build it.... You can easily make a killer turbo setup for about the same amount of $ youre going to spend buying another block and slapping high compression pistons on it....
BTW, i have t3t4 57 trim turbo for sale if ur' interested.:D

if i wanted turbo you really think i would be asking about all motor.... right
how does that not make sense. gsr internals in b20 block so you have the gsr revving capability with a bigger bore. reinforce the block new pistons my finished head. i dont understand where i would have lost you... again. iv done my research. all i wanted was to make perfect clear gsr internals would work. if i were do make my gsr block a 2.0 it would cost a grand or more vs buying b20 block and new pistons. 500 max
    end of storie thanks

    lmao....
    again.... Use your gsr block.....
all motor setups are garbage iIMO. Just turbo the gsr, tune it, and wualaaaaaa. You got yourself a fast integra with sponsor stickers on it for under 2grand.:p

dont let anyone tell you B20 sleeves are weak and cant handle power. hell there a guy right now on h-t pushing 265 on stock sleeves with 14.2:1 compression. if you tune it well, it will last. you just have less room for error. detonation is your biggest enemy.

and hes talking about the gsr crank and rods in the block, not the pistons. sounds fine to me.

lol 265 huh that is getting close to the max of those walls.

when other b-series can handle 500

they can handle some power yes but not as much as the other b-series can handle that is the point

show me a 500 hp all motor B series. that car is all motor, not turbo. 265 is a fuck of a lot of NA power (for these motors at least) hell show me a 500 hp turbo b series still on stock sleeves.

look at the banzai b16 from HCI magazine november 2005 made 507hp @23.9 psi with a gt66 turbo were going for more but ran out of dyno time

completely stock b16 gave out at 422

motor was tuned with f.a.s.t. engine control unit

b20 is a great na motor becouse you'll never make enuff power to hurt the sleeves that way its just not a good huge hp motor tochoose if your boosting. i gave my advise on how to build it, i think it is a good idea

alright then, this is good news. means my 250whp goal isnt to far fetched, i wont be running more then 12:1 comp. i was just curious in all this because after my head is done im gonna swap out the block and use my 1.8 and sleeve it for my next turbo motor.
    thans guys

if i were to use the gsr internals though wouldnt i be capable of revving at the gsr revs?
maybe round 8500? dont think the b20 will hold more then 7200
