i guess i'll drive on them for a few days and see if they get better.. if not.. i dunno then.. i'll just have to get them checked out..GSRCIVICTN said:Clamp off all 4 of your brake lines at the wheel ends and press the pedal. If it is still soft, you have a leak somewhere between the MC and the clamps or the MC is bad. +1 on the pads taking time to seat.
ok.. i changed my brakes today and my brakes feels really soft... worse than before i changed them... i know how to change brakes so i know i did it right, i just dont know what would cause this.. maybe i forgot to do something.. please help
its a 94 VX with stock brakes.. i just changed the pads..
why were you bleeding the brakes if all you did was change pads?i bled the brakes.. alot.. then refilled the brake fluid..
this is from the vacuum your motor creates...ok.. when i pump my brakes when the car is off.. it gets firm.. start the car and the pedal drops..
wait... it does nothing? but it feels like its going to the floor?while the car is on, just idling.. i pump the brakes and the apply pressure and it does nothing.. it almost feels like the pedal is going to the floor...

how did you bleed them?
when i say nothing, i mean the pedal doesnt stiffen .. it goes for the floor..wait... it does nothing? but it feels like its going to the floor?
either it doesn;t drop, or it does? which is it?
you can just push in the caliper with either big pliers, or a c clampwell.. the nut on the back of the caliper.. i loosen'd it to get the caliper back over the pads
and yes the master was at the low level before i put more fluid in..
