I brought the Ti into ICS (http://www.icsperformance.com/[IMG]) today.
Getting the RD suspension put on, and the brakes i got from bimmerbum put on, and a bunch of misc maintenance items (rear diff fluid change, coolant flush / thermostat change, oil change, brake fluid flush, alignment, replacing the rear hatch struts, and fixing the passenger side window (off track)).

All I have to say is WOW. Ton of crazy cars there.
supra on the lift with a turbo the size of my head... and i have a BIG head.
lots of m cars, s-cars, etc etc. i kinda felt out of place in the lame-ass stock Ti. lol

I figure it will be there the better part of the week. I didn't make an appointment or anything, so i won't be top priority. No worries... it's semi nice out now and all the snow is gone, so i can rock the M for a week and not get stuck driving the truck [IMG] In fact, yesterday was the first time i drove the M since early November (pretty much stop driving it after first salt). It's weird going from the Ti to it. I forgot how to drive it. thing feels huge... it's SOOO touchy... i forgot how to drive it [IMG]

this is sorta my trial run with ICS. I'll let them work on the Ti.... see how they do for work... and then maybe i'll bring me M there too if they do a good job.

neonmike is trying to talk me into doing the horsepower freaks turbo kit on it. ICS is a certified installer now too, which makes it almost too convenient.... well, a LOT more than going to oregon.

I'm still trying to justify the 16 grand base price tag (+clutch, labor, etc etc etc which will quickly become 20k for 300 hp. (280 at the wheels to roughly 580 at the wheels)). Do I REALLY need it? [IMG]

ehh, i know i'm kinda ranting and rambling on here, but hey, it's the lounge [IMG]

When i get the car back i'll review the RD suspension set up... see what its like.

First thing this morning they are calling me up. They already started going over it and found some stuff.

Looks like i got a bad right front caliper... left pad is near new, right pad is worn through.
ball joints are shot, tie rods are shot
so, i'm getting basically a whole new front end suspension wise put on.

I'm sure there's still more to take apart. I told 'em if it needs it, do it. Get the car back to 100% again.

and now that i think about it, that parasitic drag is probably 50% of the cause of my crap gas mileage.

driving easy, i've yet to break 27mpg.

let's see if i can break 30's when i get it back [IMG]

they are both such lovely cars. glad you are getting all this taken care of.

as an investment, do you need an extra 300hp in the M? if it starts to feel slow just trive the Ti for a few days ;)

:werd: .. is the extra 300hp really necessary.. IMO, use the money and improve the suspension on the M

    I did say this...

you want to dump $16K's into a turbo kit for a car you still haven't payed off?

And I did say this too....

$16Ks, can go for a fun project car that will out handle and outperform the M, why waste a good car, hell for 16K's I'd toss you all the shit to build up a Z and a Z, and that's with a shop putting it together for you to have turnkey'ed.

    And for some reality checks....

remember what happened to the STI with a rock?
remember your posting this car in public?
remember the internet has all your information...

And nowadays, people don't give a fuck about other peoples property...
Video Gemeente sleept EN sloopt Audi S4

Put that money into the house or buy some more gold ..... (and don't keep the gold in the house)

    Luv ya.

the car will be paid for this year. im almost done paying on it. got about 13 payments left, of which i pay more than minimum on, so by late fall it should be 100% paid for.

i don't want a Z. I know you love them, but they do 0, zero, zip, nadda for me. i would NEVER EVER EVER even consider dumping 16 grand into one. hell, i would have a hard time dumping 5 grand into one.

you could dump 60 grand into a Z, and at the end of the day, i'd still rather have the M, bone sstock

i don't work where the rock incident happened any more. my car is literally 5 feet from my office door, of which is the door for just my company (with 8 guys in here). Further, it's not my daily driver any more now that i have the Ti. as it is, i rarely bring it anywhere where i'm not next to it the whole time.

Anyway, this is all just speculation. I haven't made up my mind one way or the other. just something i'm considering doing sometime down the road.

maybe i'm being dumb, but to me, that car looked REALLY out of place in that ghetto ass hood. she should've spent more on her place to live instead of her car.

I work in Jersey City. I see more blinged out S-Classes and 7-series than I have anywhere before.Frankly, it's common practice in some places to drive something like that and still rent your home.
