Cable Y1 w/OEM LSD-what oil?

    I did some searching, found a little info, but nothing recent. I'd appreciate any info on what to use in this transmission....Honda MTF + friction modifier?; GM Synchromesh?; or what....

    Thanks for any input...

    IMO, the latest Honda MTF are terrible(the viscosity is about the same as ATF).

    I'd check the manual to see if running 10w30 would be OK(I know in the non-LSD cars it is). Pennzoil/GM Syncromesh with FM should work great along with Torco MTF fluids, Amsoil, etc. Only other fluid I'd avoid is Royal Purple Synchromax.

    Thanks....GM Synchromesh + K&W FM it is. That's the combination we use in the shop to cure the late-model Ford trucks with the limited-slip diff's hammering and chattering like a bitch......
