Check Engine Light

Well every once in a while, after the engine has been running for a while, ill shut it down for bout 5 to 10 min and start it up again and while driving, and after gettin on the throttle a bit, the check engine light comes on. anyone know what the deal? i know the knock sensor isnt hooked up and it should be but hey.

i'm going to bet that it's the knock sensor if it isn't hooked up.

my ecu is putting out code 12 (EGR) and code 23 (knock sensor)...i don't even know where my knock sensor is located..any help in finding it/fixing the problem?
