I don't drive a Honda but I drive a 5 sp Escort GT.

1st - 40-42
2nd - 65-67
3rd - 92-93
4th - 115
5th - ?? Never got it past 115.

Gear ratios are in order too:

1st - 3.30:1
2nd - 1.83
3rd - 1.30
4th - 1.03
5th - 0.79

Don't know the final ratio.

Get the complete series of Initial D. Watch it, take notes, and practice.. Or if you have GT3, flip to the end and read what Skip Barber has to say..

the only place you should be pushing the limits of your car is on the track. go to some hpde events, get an instructor to spend the day with you, that is the best way to start to learn.

What's natural isn't ALWAYS the best idea.

Say you start to fishtail in a fwd car (on gravel, if you do this, you're a genious because it's still really hard to do...) what would you naturally do? Slam on the brakes.

Wrong...You'll want to get off the gas slightly to correct it and then get back on the gas again.

Same thing with drifting in a RWD car, if you start to take a corner and your rear end is hanging out, if you don't know what to do you'll probably try to slam on the brakes...again...Wrong. You'll just end up fishtailing, spinning, and if you hit a rock or something big you could end up flipping your car.

Thats not always true, in a fwd car with a semi big sway bar, letting off the gas makes oversteer happen. In autoX Fun Runs (non compedive, do your own shit, ahve fun) I will set my car up for tein settings to a rear bias setup, and do the run. When my back end starts to swing, I floor it and the back goes back into place. When You let off it, you go spinning.
