Yeah, you would think. You would also be surprised at how many 'tuners' do a half assed garbage job and get overpaid for it. Not saying Church is this way, but if they can't make your car idle then then shouldn't be tuning anything.

i have the chips and the socketed ecu already. where do i get a chip burner the software to download and the laptop? how good of a laptop do i need?

an old p3 should be fine. you can get those on ebay for 300-400 bucks.

i ran crome on my moms computer (1GHz P3) and it worked just fine.

i DO need a wideband? or just recommended?

p3 = pentium 3 processor

to tune a car you NEED a wideband. egt is RECOMMENDED (especially for turbo).
