D15B7 to a 97 civic LX

i have a 97 LX with a D16Y7. Will a D15B7 drop right in as long as i change everything like intake and exhaust and dizzy? will the D16 dizzy bolt onto the head of the D15? how about wiring since the D15B7 is OBDI and i have an OBDII car? anything different?

why would you want to do that? the d16y7 is a great sohc engine to build!

It's just a daily driver. I'm not looking to really do any internal work, or much external for that matter. Just to get some good gas milage. I'm only swaping because the D16Y7 has a bad cylinder and I found the D15 for a good price.

well i dont quite understand why you want to down grade? i would find the d16y7 on Tiger Japanese Auto Parts LTD they are good quality engines that are very affordable! i have a 92 lx civic and i have the d15b vtec in it and its not worth the 550 dollars i spent on it you really dont want this motor its very underpowered and torqueless!
