d16 vs. b16

i have a d16z6. will i get more power out of a b16 or should i dump 2000 into a d16. if i buy a b16 i have to leave it stock. so the question is 2000 for a b16 or dump 2000 into a d16????

If the choice is between dropping in a B16 and leaving it stock vs modding a D16, I would turbocharge the D16 and call it a done deal.

ok my goal for the car is simple. I want a lil mower power like around 150 or 160, FOR NOW. after i get out of college and gas isn't an issue i have full intention on slapping a turbo on the motor. as for now i was lookin at new flywheel,clutch,exhaust mani.,intake mani., CAI, and a complete exhaust system. what would that yield whp wise??

I would also like a little more top end power. i got great 0-90 time but aafter 90 it doesn't have much power.

well, since you don't need to go over 90 because it's illegal.

get a turbo kit. don't waste money on intake manifold or intake. just a turbo kit and you will have enough power. you can get 200 hp to the wheels with a turbo and good tune. the other stuff might add a couple hp but aren't worth the extra money.

if your lookin for a good swap put in a b18c1 full swap will run you around 2,400 and still will have good gas mileage and put you at 170hp and b16 are torque less at least from every one i know that has one

ok then here is a question for you. if i do this swap i will buy a complete motor with tranny,ecu,motor,axles, and shifter, what modifications do i need to do in order for it to swap in?

for the b18 to fit into a civic all you have to do is change the back motor mount so i figure its the same for a delsol...not for sure on that but you can buy a whole front clip with tranny axles ecu...ect for about 2400 like i said before... i will find the site and send you a link

thats steep id say go k20 and get a hasport kit that will cost bout 2 grand total.. i only payed 1500 fpr my b16 trans combp ecu then another 200 for axles. but the k20 u can get for 1500 and a nother 520 mounts for it.. it comes with every thing
