I just got a 95 Si from a guy for about $1000. He said the timing belt went on it so I grabbed it because I have access to a shop and can do most of the work myself for an engine swap. After I got the car I took the valve cover off and the top of the timing belt cover. I can turn the camshaft relatively easily and it doesn't seem like the valves are damaged (bent). I want to get it running asap. Should I just put in a new timing belt and try to start it up or would it be worth it to get an endoscope and look through the sparkplug sockets to see if there is any damage to the pistons from the valves (causeing the valves to get fucked on the inside of the head). I would prefer not to take off the head I wanna get it done like now.
