da6 backfiring metal sparks

I was on the highway the other nite an all of a sudden my 90 teg started to loose power. she started to backfire and buck. when i looked back i could c metal sparking fling out. Noticeable piece of metal sparks. the car die n i pulled over. she tries to start but nothing. any1 got any ideas. need to get back on the road asap. help!

maybe you blew a piston... any smoke?

did you have oil?

im pretty sure she had oil i added 2 quarts about two days b4. was doin an oil change over the weekend. no smoke at all. she just lost power n die down, would turn over back. made all the right sounds to start but nothin.

it turned out low oil pressure n the engines got it. thanks for the help

oil pump gave out, was just too old.
