DX Quits for a sec

moving off from a stop sign or at low speed (1st or 2nd gear), engine quits for a second and then is ok, cruises ok has all of its tiny amount of power, it doesn't hesitate at all, problem only seems to be at low rpm under load. when it does quit i can hear a pop out of the exhaust. any ideas? tps, coil?

check spark plug wires that r good and are set to firing order, gap on spark plugs,timming

It's either going to be spark firing/timing or if valve timing is off it could cause the engine to backfire, not sure if that would cause the stutter you feel though.

Im going to concur that the timing is probably off a bit. Its the only thing i can think of that would be more noticeable at a lower rpm/higher load
