Ecu Wiring Harnesses

I've got a question.
If the 97 civic ex is OBD2 and so is the 99 GSR should I need to do anything special besides plug ends to make a GSR head work with a 97 ex controller and wiring harness?
I could answer this question myself if I could find pinout schematics for both cars.
But I can't, (for now)

using a 2b motor in your 2a car require some more wiring depending on what you have for wire harnesses and ecus
