EF D16A1 swap...... need help

i have the swap all in but i am having a problem starting it, it almost sounds like the starter is not hitting the flywheel that may be the biggest problem would anyone know a way to fix this problem. maybe it is a wiring problem also not sure though.

Do you hear the starter spin or does it click? If it clicks check the ground wires make sure contacts are clean and that your battery is fully charged. I was going crazy with mine when it would not start and all it was is a loose ground that was connected to the the thermostat housing.

the starter is just spinning i can hear it. any ideas?

need more info - are you using the transmission from the EF? - are you using the flywheel and starter from the EF?

How old is the starter? What condition was the drive gear in when you did the swap? Is the inside full of shit? Take the starter off and check it out. Hell, sometimes a removal & installation magically fixes problems.

I am using the ef 5spd tranie, ef clutch, and flywheel and the starter.
