F22b Sohc -> Dohc Swap?

I know that you can swap these engines, but can you just swap the heads? Is it possible? And what else do I need? ECU?

It's possible to put a DOHC head onto a SOHC block, but the time and money involved aren't nearly worth it. You'll be much better off swapping a full longblock. You'll need an ECU to go along with it, but Prelude and Accord trannies are interchangeable if money is tight.

Changing the head isn't as easy as it sounds, and you'd have to buy all the goodies attached to the head to make it worth your while. That would be about as expensive as a longblock. Especially when you figure in your time, and the expense of the gaskets that you'd have to buy. A honda head gasket alone is $80, for the F22A. That's probably one of the cheaper ones.

Not to mention the bore of the F22 is 85mm, while the H22 is 87....
