f22b1 coupe

Does anyone know what transmission(s) would be a direct fit for my f22b1 automatic? I've heard H23 will work, but when I talked to a salvage yard this dude insisted that I would have to change the ECU. My understanding is that you can just swap the TCU at worst and it will run fine.
Tiger Japanese has one for the 90-93, and I don't know if it would work either.
SO, I guess my big questions are:
1) When changing from one transmission to another, does the ECU and or harness need swapped?
2) What transmission would be ideal for this car, if I can't find a cheap tranny?
3) If I could get a good enough deal on all the parts, I could convert to manual, is that swap totally not worth the effort?
4) Is a rebuild something you can DIY on, if you have worked on everything else Honda with ease? It's just slipping, I haven't let it blow out and completely ruin anything inside yet, if that's worth anything...
5) Anyone have any links to cheap transmissions and rebuild kits?
Thanks in advance.
