h23 vtec?

hey, i heard this is possible, so heres my question, my friend has a 93 prelude h23 a/t, he's seeking to get VTEC for his car, what is needed for this conversion? i know that you need a h22 head and a vtec controller (can anyone recommend any good vtec controllers). thanks in advance

There's alot more to just bolting on a Vtec head... and getting a "Vtech" controller. You have to change everything that touches the timing belt, unplug an oil orifice on the block or run an external oil line for the Vtec, etc... There is alot of stuff. READ, READ, READ!!!

Your friend would be better off just buying a JDM longblock and a vtec ecu. You can reuse your transmission.

i'm doin a h23vtec as we speak, alot is envolved, and a lot of research will be needed.its out there, just gotta find it
