Headers in a Civic wagon ? U-Joints ?

I took a chance and bought a set of regular D16 headers for my 89 AWD wagon - Well surprise, the lower section hits the 4WD transfer case of the 6-speed tranny. Before I cobble up a 2-1 pipe is there another cleaner way to do this ? Also, does anyone overseas have access to some press in U-Joints to fit the wagon ? They are 22x65 mm and have aftermarket numbers like GUHO3,HD2265C,UJ810. Thanks !

any "GOOD" exhaust shop should be able to get it to work.
Or is it WAY off?
You could go to a motorcycle shop and see if they have any 'scrap' headers and piece together something..
