help with ecu

im kinda new to the hole ecu thing. im driving a 92 civic cx and i know the engine has been changes a couple of times. i was wondering how to tell what ecu (computer) is in the car. i know were it is but dont know how to tell which one it is. please help me out. thanks

Under the passenger side kick panel is where the ECU normally resides. You need to take that part off, then look at the sticker on the side of the ECU. It'll be on the side facing towards the passenger seat.

I can almost bet that if "the engine has been changes a couple of times" You will have a programmed/socketed ECU.
