so your TV gets the sound over the HDMI right?

i think you need to move the RCAs over to the TV, outputs.

you would need rca outputs for audio on the back of your tv

another thing to check, make sure you aren't in a private party
i thought i broke my headset lastnight for about an hour because i couldn't hear anyone or talk, but the voices would come through the tv
i forgot i had been in a private party earlier and never exited it

My x41s pop and crackle as well from time to time. I havnt figured it out either. Then again i have not messed with it a great deal. Im going to try and move the transmitter up higher and away from any outlets and other power adapters to see if that helps any.
