HIGH RPM's

just have a quick question, i recently swooped on a 2003 civic si HB, it was salvaged when i bought it, now its all ready to run but for some reason the RPM's run really high in all the gears, like in 5th and 65 mph, it runs about 3 1/2 rev's, any suggestions as to why???
