how do u know if a throw out bearing is bad? i took my tranny out yesterday and i pushed it and it came out fine and it still spins really well but when i drove it i heard a vibration in the tranny... like a crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr noise... bad bearing?
 
if the trans is in the car running at idle speed you can hear the bearing chatter and then when you would push the clutch in its gone..
 
Does your tranny whine with a pitch that inceases in frequency (gets higher pitched) with increased RPMs? If so, then your syncoros are going bad.
 
no its more of a grinding noise, and it goes away sometimes too, but its really loud when im in 1st or 2nd gear...
 
what about when its out of the car, it spins fine , what else could cause my tranny to grind at like 2400 to 4000rpm
 
It could just be your axels I but a JDM type R motor in my freind 4 door integra and the whole front of his car would shake until I changed the axels
