how to save files that stream?

well i have a music class that i constantly have to listen to music for. well the music is only available in 2 options. 1. go to the library and have them record them to cassette. 2. stream the music offline from the int4rweb.

well both options suck. their cassette recorder is a piece of shit and half the songs on the tapes dont even work, and they insist its my tape players fault. and streaming the music offline sucks too, they are always glitchy.

im looking for someway to get these music files on my computer in mp3 form, or in a form that i can convert to mp3. what i really would like to do is put them on a small mp3 player so i can listen to them right before my test

so is there a way to do this?

ive also looked on the internet to see if there was a place i could just straight download these songs but that doesnt seem to work either cause NO ONE has these songs/peices.

yea you have to install the player. im not sure if it works in firefox. i think it only works in IE

anyway ive been looking around and it looks like theres some streaming audio rippers...

1. lime wire sucks and is filled with spyware
2. lime wire wont have these songs.

ive tried a few of these audio rippers and they work, but only let you record like 30-60 secs of audio or you have to buy it Fuck paying 30 bucks.

this will only save it to your hard drive though as application/x-sdf not as audio/x-mp3 as you want

save that to your desktop or something... the sdf is simply a text file like a CSV.

the mp2 is in there somewhere... but its still rtsp, *real time streaming protocol) so it will still stream-- but it will stream right into your temp folder

just gotta figure out the right directory structure

well non of these streaming programs are 100% free. so i said fuck trying to find a keygen or s/n (non worked anyway) and i just took 1 min samples and spliced them together to make the entire song. it sucked, and took a while but it worked, thats all that mattered, lol.
