I would appreciate as much feedback as possible. i am a newbie at this and i just bought a 95 integra. i want to swap into it a d15z1 for FE. if there is anyone out there who could gives me tips on this and hopefully a list of every part i am going to need. i think i need to convert the car to v-tec, how do i do that. also, i heard something about a 5 wire o2 sensor, how do i accomplish this? do i need d-series engine mounts? will the current axels and shift linkages work? what is the story on the wiring harness? i could really use some help and i appreciate any little bit of it, thanks

    I agree.

I took a cut with my EG when I had my D16Z6 in it..i had some mods done to it and it averaged 38-45MPG. I put my LS(B18B1) in my EG and now get roughly 32 1/2 MPG every tank. Whats funny is my engine is a DOHC 1.8L that pulls very nicely compared to my buddies stock DX with the 1.5L D15B7 and he only gets like 30 to 31MPG...and his shits sllllloooooowwwww. So I think my B18B1 is doing ok..I also have a GSR tranny so I turn more RPMs which hurts me a little I think on the freeway turning right at 4,000RPMs at 80.

wow... im into FE but 90ish hp pulling a DC? u may waste gas just gettin that thing to roll cuz a DC is heavier than an EG (not sure how much more). you'll definitely need a p07 ecu, depending if u get a CA version -came in both 4 and 5wire o2 sensors, or the 49state Federal ecu. i've seen more Z1 info on diff site (no hammer please!) ecomodder.com or gassavers.org. i think some of the mounts will work on the D but dont know for sure which ones... u'll need to use EG axles/ and mod the linkage? good luck

What you are going to need is basically the same as what someone swapping a B series into a Civic would need...

Motor, tranny, shiftlinkage, axles, ECU, and a combo of teg, and Civic mounts.

All that you need to to do to wire vtec is make sure you have the wires from the solenoid to the ECU, you can either wire them into the harness to make it nice and neat, or run them ghetto.

I also second that you are probably going to wind up being counter productive with this swap. The VX is a retarded light car. Imagine driving around with four more people in your car...all the time. If you were going from 30 to say 50 or 60 mph it might be worth it, but I don't see anything close to that happening, maybe, if the added weight doesn't completely counter act it, 5-8 mph, which you can probably get by keeping you oil change, car tuned up, and tires inflated correctly.
