hey i need to know if a 1997 vtec engine will fit into a 1995 civic. it is a 1.6 liter engine and i was wanting to know how hard it would be to swap this and if the tranmission of the 95 would fit on the 1997engine. and what it would take to make it fit???????thanks for the help........

97 SI doesnt even exist here.. unless you live in Canada

if it's a canadian 97 si, then it is really just an ex
provided it is a d16XX engine it will work for what you want, you may need to change mounts, but it will bolt to your stock trans, swap over your current engine mounts, maybe a couple other things.
Overall it is a very simple type of swap.

ayou'll be changing the wiring from obd2 to obd1 and possibly wiring your car for vtec, there are instruction all over the internet or you can get a conversion harness form Hasport Performance, Inc.
