Is it the stock engine? Is it a 96-00 Civic DX or LX? If the answer to both of those questions is yes, then yes, it's a D16Y7...

its a 1994 and no the motors not original and its a DX

how the fuck did the engine code wear off??? its stamped in to the engine block... and doesnt experience any wear there

its probably just caked with shit

take some engine cleaner and a flat scraper and clean off the engine code

its just a paper tag on the side of the plastic timing case cover.. or is it stamped somewhere else on the motor too?
