I'll try to make this as short as possible. My old roommate (removed on 1/31/08) took a trip to VA, on the way back she got arrested for possession of CDS in a motor vehicle as well as speeding 98 in a 65. There was a never a lease or any other legal document showing her residence at my house. I drove all the way down to MD, bailed her out for the 10% of the $2500 bail, obviously $250. That amount of money wasn't that big of a deal. She missed her municipal court date and I attempted to revoke her bail for the superior court charge. I was denied. She missed her court date on the 31st, but she hadn't come back to the house for a few days before that. I toalked to her on the 31st and said I would drive her down for her court date, which was just a preliminary hearing and she would have walked away, regardless of her plea, she would have at most been looking at 6mo-1yr probation and a small fine. Her baby's daddy came by and I told him the situation and told him if she doesn't own up then I'm gonna take matters into my own hands. She refuses to answer the phone ir make any type of contact with me. So today, I decided I'm gonna repo everything she has, including the baby's stuff, besides her baby daddy's car....which is next on the list. I took everything out of the house and put it in storage, changed every lock on the house and told her she has 45 days to claim her shit or I'm trashing it. I have 90 days from 1.31.08 to apprehend her. As of now I'm waiting on a copy of the warrants so I can serve them. Let me tell you guys something, acquiring these warrants was extremely difficult and has to go through like 4 different people before I can actually get a copy of them, BUT I should have them by Monday. This in itself may be illegal but I have my connections. Apparently, district courts in MD don't give citizens any type legal document pertaining to another individual, regardless of the situation. This is bullshit in my case, since I went straight to the commissioner to bail her out, no bondsmen or anything. So is repo'ing her shit without notice illegal? How I get the warrants is not an issue, I am getting them legally, I just had to pull a lot of strings to get them. I did leave a voicemail, the only way I'm gicing her shit back is when I know she's in custody and the storage/truck fee is paid.
